Hand phone" is not a word in English — here is why that matters

Konglish terms like "hand phone" and "fighting" feel natural to Korean speakers because they are used daily in Korea. But to an IELTS examiner or a native speaker, "hand phone" has no meaning — you have to say "mobile phone" or "cell phone."
