Articles are not optional

Korean has no articles, so many learners drop "a," "an," and "the" entirely. But in English, omitting "the" can change a general statement into a specific one, or vice versa - "I like dogs" vs "I like the dogs" means two different things. This is not a minor detail; it directly affects clarity in writing and speaking, and examiners at Band 7+ will penalize you for missing it consistently. Drill the rules until they become automatic.
