Parasocial, lookmaxxing, and the price of sloppy English

Merriam-Webster just added 1,400 new words, including "looksmaxxing," "parasocial," and "vibe coding." A Korean speaker who writes "hand phone" or drops the article in "I saw parasocial relationship" will be understood by nobody — or worse, misunderstood as meaning something entirely different. Register and connotation matter more than ever when the dictionary moves this fast. Correct once and it stays corrected; guess once and the habit sticks.
