People here keep saying "they understood me, so it's fine." But in a job interview or an email to a client, "she work" or "I am teacher" does not read as casual fluency — it reads as carelessness, and the reader will not stop to ask what you meant. Correcting the third-person -s and the article once costs you five minutes and sticks for life; that is the difference between a Band 6.5 and a Band 8 on the writing rubric. Nuance and register matter too — "totally" is friendly agreement in speech, but you would not write it in a formal report. Fix the grammar gaps first, then the idioms will land properly.
